Talk show host Whoopi Goldberg is under fire for her comments about the Holocaust on “The View.”
Sparks fly as The View panel confronts Whoopi after she says “the Holocaust isn’t about race. No. It’s not about race.”
“Well, the considered Jews a different race,” Joy Behar says.“But it’s about white supremacy. It’s about going after Jews and Gypsies,” Ana Navarro adds. pic.twitter.com/GZwZSi2qXi

Hours after the ignorant comments Whoopi released the following apologies:

She appeared on “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert” Monday night and said she understood the criticism, but she still seemed to stand by her initial comment.

A Twitter storm was quick to call her out for the comments:
Even though an apology has been issued, the idea that the Holocaust had nothing to do with race is one that I’ve heard before and it is a lie that deserves to be refuted every time it rears its ugly head.

Newsflash @WhoopiGoldberg 6 million of us were gassed, starved and massacred because we were deemed an inferior race by the Nazis.
How dare you minimize our trauma and suffering! pic.twitter.com/nD8drxWpxJ

Forget @WhoopiGoldberg who makes herself somehow the victim of this, what is wrong with @StephenAtHome who insted of taking her to task, apologizes for even being part of the conversation because he isn’t black or Jewish?! https://t.co/nTKTS58Eps

We were all trying to be gracious to Whoopi and say it was the latter, but listen to her explain herself to Colbert. It’s the former. She can’t see someone’s Judaism and therefore it doesn’t compute as a racial issue to her. https://t.co/ky3pzZjpcv

The double standards and hypocrisy of Hollywood is disgusting. @ABCNetwork fired Roseanne Barr from the show SHE CREATED over a tweet. But they allow Whoopi Goldberg to say antisemitic comments, go on Stephen Colbert and double down, and still keep her job.

To understand the implications of the @ADL‘s redefinition of racism, just watch today’s episode of The View. https://t.co/VJ2HXjGute

I could not have said it better. Thank you Congressman Torres for your moral clarity and courage! https://t.co/ivXtOPQ2iu

Is @WhoopiGoldberg an antisemite for her Holocaust race comments?
Certainly not.
Has she revealed the depths of her ignorance?
Absolutely.
This was no mistake as her non-apology has made clear. So She can keep her job but we demand answers!
Whoop-dee-doo, but we can see you! pic.twitter.com/PFwKrR2VY4

Did Whoopi Goldberg apology seem heartfelt to you? It didn’t to me!!
Where was the outrage by the ladies on the panel when Whoopi made her comments that the Holocaust was not about race?!! I would never again have any respect for those ladies and certainly not for Whoopi and that disrespectful, moronic statement !
