Rep. Kathleen Rice will not run for reelection in November, she announced on Tuesday. Rep. Kathleen Rice becomes the 30th House Democrat not to seek re-election
Rice, a Democrat who has represented a Long Island district for four terms, said in a statement that elected officials “must give all we have and then know when it is time to allow others to serve.”
She becomes the 30th House Democrat nationwide to announce they would not run this fall as the party hopes to retain the majority in the mid-term elections.
As I turn to the next chapter of my own personal and professional story, I do so with profound thanks to the community leaders, colleagues and staff who have lived our shared commitment to service with courage and humility. pic.twitter.com/GBVvtrWpia

Kaminsky announced he will be seeking any other political office at this time.

We thank both Sen. Tod Kaminsky & Rep. Kathleen Rice for their years of service on behalf of the community.
Todd you’re smart to get out now so you don’t have to write a concession speech !
What a disappointment you’ve been !!!
Bail Reform ? What a great idea that was.
Are you gonna open up a halfway house on your block ?
How much grants he has given to our yeshivos and lobbying for our communal values!
Anonymous has no hakaras hatov, clearly.
Shame on everyone who trashed Senator Kaminsky. What a chilul Hashem — total lack of respect for all the money he gave to our shuls and yeshivos. He knew he wasnt getting our votes but delivered money to our community anyway. Quite frankly, if you know anything about law and politics, his Republican successor won’t have the power to give the resources to our shuls and yeshivas that Todd did. Yasher koach Todd – and shame on you for trashing him
It’s all about the money $$$
Money always wins over principals ! And don’t the politicians know it !!! They can pass any bill as long as they throw some money at you. You should team up with AOC; her favorite saying is “It’s All About The Benjamin’s”. You keep proving her right.
He knew he wasn’t getting our votes ?? Are you serious.
Have you ever checked who the Klal recommends, encourages, just about demands we vote for ? Democrats are destroying anything that’s left of humanity. Wouldn’t need the money to put up a security fence if they knew or cared about anything but themselves.
Let’s ask an honest question here: what have the local Republican politicians done for our community? Do you even know who Missy Miller, our Assemblywoman, is? She has done zilch for us. What have D’Esposito and Clavin done in the Town of Hempstead? How about Bruce Blakeman? Never seen the Nassau police at our shuls. They just expect our votes and give us nothing in return.
“Anonymous” – that quote is from Omar, not AOC. Please check your facts, keyboard warrior.
