Councilwoman Inna Vernikov & Rabbi Moshe Hauer, Executive Vice President of Orthodox Union (OU), Joined MSNBC to Discuss Jewish aid to Ukraine.
The Jewish community in America has already raised millions of dollars to provide aid and more. Getting civilians out of Ukraine is difficult and expensive, then relocating the tens of thousands of refugees is another massive expense.
Hatzalah of Brooklyn and community members came together and packed a full plane to ship out aid, food and resources to the people of Ukraine.
“The same way we all feel that during World War II – the world could have done more, we feel the same responsibility to assist the people of Ukraine in every way possible”, said R’ Hauer.
I am also grateful to the volunteers of @ChesedShelEmes for their assistance; Michael’s Pharmacy, Pharmacy At the Wave, and Alec Teytel for donating medical supplies; and @GreatKosherDeal for donating meals.
