Fourth Squad Detectives report the arrest of a Brooklyn man for Criminal Possession of a Weapon that occurred on Wednesday, November 09th at 11:52 pm in Inwood.
According to detectives, officers were on patrol driving westbound on Bayview Avenue and observed a male walking in the same direction, in the vicinity of Gates Avenue. The male was holding a firearm case.
During the investigation it was revealed the case contained a 9mm handgun. Dellon Gilford, 39, was arrested without incident.
Defendant Gilford is charged with two counts of Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd Degree, Criminal Possession of a Firearm and Criminal Possession of a Weapon 4th Degree. He will be arraigned on Thursday, November 10th at First District Court, Hempstead.
