We join with all Klal Yisrael in mourning the passing of Rose Lubin, an incredibly dedicated IDF Border Police officer, who was tragically murdered on November 6th. This has been an impossible week for her friends and family, and for the Atlanta Jewish community in which Rose was raised.
Before making Aliyah, Rose was an active member of the Atlanta JSU community and took part in the JSU GO trips to Israel in the summers of 2018 & 2019, remarking how the trip was “an experience like no other”.
Rabbi Chaim Neiditch, NCSY Regional Director for Atlanta, ran those trips and remembers Rose with equal parts love and affinity. “Rose was just incredible. On one hand she was a kind, gentle and deeply spiritual soul who always looked to help others. She was also fiercely determined to accomplish anything she set out to do and routinely volunteered for the toughest tasks, without complaint. Her love for the Land of Israel was nurtured during her summer trips with us, and we are humbled and saddened by her untimely passing. Rose was truly a hero to her Land, her State, and her People”.
We encourage all in Israel to attend her funeral tomorrow at Har Herzl, and to honor her commitment to Israel & her people.
In a video recorded by her cousin on Friday, a smiling Rose Lubin thanked everyone for their support and wished them a Shabbat Shalom. She will be missed dearly by her family, friends and all of Am Yisroel. Hy”d pic.twitter.com/hlznp2W1v3

Those who sanctify HASHEM’s Name like Rose did – they will never be forgotten and their names, their legacies, will live an eternal life.
