South African U19 captain David Teeger has been relieved of his duties ahead of the U19 showpiece event set to be held in South Africa. A new captain will be announced in due course.
David Teeger has been relieved of the South Africa Under-19 captaincy a week before the World Cup.
The reason? He is a Jew who spoke out in support of Israel. Teeger reportedly commented when receiving a Jewish Rising Star: ‘I’ve been awarded this but the true rising stars are the young soldiers in Israel,’
You cannot make this stuff up, read the full press release below:
This young man’s name is David Teeger. He was just dismissed from his position as captain of the South African under-19 cricket team because he is Jewish.
South Africa isn’t looking for justice, it’s looking for Jews. pic.twitter.com/TzkTo9zHKT

19-year-old David Teeger has been removed from his captaincy of South Africa's Under-19 cricket team – not because of his professionalism or performance but because he is Jewish and supports Israel.
Disgusting.@ProteasMenCSA should reinstate him now.https://t.co/r2GohF4jE0

Anti semites!!! Vote them out!! Even here in our safe Five Towns, Congressman Anthony Desposito has been silent about antisemitism in Atlantic Beach and Rockville Centre when people wanted to ban shuls. He is no friend of ours!
Wrong!! He actually is a good friend of ours and has spoken out about it!
