Our hearts are with the NYPD as they mourn the loss of Police Officer Jonathan Diller, who was shot and killed last night while making a traffic stop in Far Rockaway.
P.O. Diller was a resident of Nassau County and leaves behind a wife and young one-year-old son. RIP.
Mott Avenue between Cornaga and Central Ave is still closed off as of now due to the crime scene and investigation.
Our City lost one its finest. There are no words to describe the sorrow that I, along with our whole community, feel after learning that a member of the NYPD was shot and killed. This heroic police officer died during the course of his duty – protecting and serving our City. pic.twitter.com/iajyov82Ql

Rest in peace NYPD PO Jonathan Diller who was shot & killed on 3/25/24 while investigating a vehicle. He was a 3 year veteran & leaves behind his wife & baby boy. His killer had 21 prior arrests & should never have been free to kill. #BlueLivesMatter #BackTheBlue #StopKillingUs pic.twitter.com/DCYp1JUtmq
