A safe containing a Sefer Torah was stolen from a local Yeshiva in Far Rockaway.
It seems that the Torah was on loan to the Yeshiva and the owner was told by police to try and spread this info far & wide in the hopes of finding the Torah and apprehending the suspects.
If you have any information regarding the Torah, safe, or the listed vehicle, please immediately call the NYPD 101 Precinct Detective Squad at (718) 868-3400 and the 24 Hour RNSP Hotline at (516) 858-7300.
We are attempting to gather more information, and we’ll update the community when we have more details to share.

Assemblywoman Stacey Pheffer Amato: “A heinous crime has occurred against our community. Thank you to the NYPD 101 Pct, RNSP, and the Major Crimes Unit for your urgency in working to relocate and return the Sefer Torah to us. If you have any information, contact the 101 Precinct Detective squad or RSNP.”
