Estimated repair time for those with low pressure and or cloudy/brown water is 2 pm. The water even with that cloudy/brown color is safe to use. We just confirmed this with the company.

11:00 PM Tuesday Evening:
Alert: 5TC has been informed of a Water main break on Rockaway Turnpike: The whole five towns and West Hempstead are currently out of water. The Fire department is calling the water company to get this solved asap.

11:30PM- To All Lawrence Residents:
Please be advised that NY American Water, the utility responsible for providing water service to Lawrence and the Five Towns, reports a large water main break that is impacting our Village and surrounding areas. We are in contact with NY American Water and demanding that repairs be made and service restored as soon as possible.
As the situation develops, we will keep you advised.
