Hagaon R’ Chaim Kanievsky has instructed the Chareidei Yeshivos to reopen Yeshivos and Mosdos of children grades 1 – 8. The Yeshivos would be set to reopen first thing Sunday morning. This comes as many of the Mosdos are still in areas considered “Red Zones” and indoor learning would not yet be allowed, even with proper distancing and masking.
PM Netanyahu and Defence Minister Benny Gantz warned the Chareidim not to reopen just yet. Benny Gantz sent a tweet stating “We cannot have 2 states, and no one is above the law”. “Israel has already lost over 2,000 people from the Pandemic” stressing that families are now “without both mothers and fathers”:

Benny Gantz further tweeted his oposition to reopen explaining it’s “פיקוח נפש”, and “Most of the Chareidim have been taking this seriously and saving lives”:

Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu responded to HaRav Kanievsky’s announcement and said: “We have a limited number of police officers and inspectors, but we will use them. I call upon the Chareidi leadership not to open schools tomorrow.

Thank you. However it drives me crazy to read what u wrote. First off he isnt a malach. Tzadikc yes malach no. Not even close. . 2nd, if you are sick do u call a tzadik for advice? no u call a doctor. Yes u ask a Tsadik for a bracha but u dont go to him for the procedure. If your hoise is on fire do u call the rabbi to see if is the ratzon of hashem first? Tgis is the EXACT reason israel is such a hotspot, znd why yidden suffer.

@anonymous. where is the chutzpah? All i am saying is A doctor is in place for the health of the body. A rav is in place for the health pf the soul. One doesn’t go to a doctor about a question of kashrus just as one doesnt go to a rav for a question on a medical procedure. The science is there. Its in fromt of your face. Even the Gerrer Rebbe shut down his shuls. Kids going to school can catch covid and bring it home. Not to mention the teachers and other adults.
