UPDATE [5:40 PM]: Traffic on and around the 878 and Rockaway Turnpike is insane due to the overturned fuel truck. Central, Broadway and most main streets are heavily congested as well at this time. Every route leaving town is at a complete standstill. Try walking if possible!

There was an accident a bit ago involving an overturned tractor trailer at the 878 and Burnside intersection. NCPD and Emergency personnel on scene. Thankfully the driver was extricated by local FD and was treated on scene with non life threatening injuries.
Traffic currently can get by but traffic is already building up. Avoid this route.
The local politicians know that the 5T is dangerously congested and that in the event of a local disaster it will be almost impossible to get out. And it’s only getting worse. I don’t think even a fully built 878 would help that much.
