Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, facing a sharp spike in violence in and around territory held by Russia-backed rebels and increasingly dire warnings that Russia plans to invade, on Saturday called for Russian President Vladimir Putin to meet him and seek resolution to the crisis.

“I don’t know what the president of the Russian Federation wants, so I am proposing a meeting,” Zelensky said at the Munich Security Conference, where he also met with US Vice President Kamala Harris. Zelensky said Russia could pick the location for the talks.

Zelensky also pleaded with Ukraine’s allies to start imposing sanctions on Russia right away, to try to deter an invasion.

Top Ukrainian military officials came under a shelling attack during a tour of the front of the separatist conflict in eastern Ukraine. The officials fled to a bomb shelter before hustling from the area, according to journalist from The Associated Press who was on the tour.

UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson said on BBC that Russia is possibly planning “the biggest war in Europe since 1945” with invasion plans including Kiev.

Press Secretary Jen Psaki said that President Biden will convene a National Security Council meeting tomorrow on Ukraine-Russia tension after Biden’s national security team today “reaffirmed that Russia could launch an attack against Ukraine at any time”

Israel’s Foreign Ministry on Motzei Shabbos reiterated the call for Israelis to immediately leave Ukraine.“The eruption [of war] will be fast and severe,” the Foreign Ministry’s statement said.

  1. Dear all:
    1. The Russian army liberated most of the death camps in Europe – most Hungarian Jews (whatever was left of them), and Romanian Jews and thousands of other Jews were liberated by the Russians.
    2. The Ukrainians killed thousands and thousands of Jews in Babi Yar and in many other forests.
    3. Why exactly are the Jews still living in the Ukraine?
(Business is good) (houses are beautiful) (intermarried so why leave?) that’s Their dumb reason.
As dumb as those Hungarian Jews who are still so loyal to Hungary.
Face the facts! If they want to stay for a second Babi Yar, for another Kyev slaughter, let them stay!
We have Israel now to run to- or the USA – I have absolute no sorrow for those who choose to live there –
