Dr. Zev Neuwirth from Hatzalah of South Florida has been in Moldova since the global mission of United Hatzalah began. They work tirelessly, rescuing and treating injured individuals fleeing Ukraine.
A team of paramadics even entered into Ukraine itself to help extricate injured and elderly individuals who were unable to escape to Moldova, where the medical team is currently situated.
Aside from injuries, all the refugees are left with nothing, no medications, clothing, belongings and more. The people of United Hatzalah have been stationed there ever since.
Dr. Neuwirth lost his wife from the Machala and at that time period he completely changed careers. Before that he was a successful businessman. He then went on to medical school, became a Dr. and has since devoted his life to saving others.
