Another Terror Attack in Israel R”L: Shooting in Bnei Brak, Five Killed HY”D

Now confirmed that five Israelis have been tragically killed HY”D, at least one police officer remains critically injured.

Unconfirmed reports state that one terrorist was killed, one arrested, and another still being chased by Israeli security forces.

Defense Minister Bnei Gantz is currently conducting an emergency situation assessment with the chief of staff, the head of the Shin Bet, the head of the Armed Forces and the head of the operations division.

In light of tonight’s terror attack in Bnei Brak, Prime Minister Naftali Bennett will hold a security consultation at 10:00 pm this evening with the Defense Minister, the Public Security Minister, the IDF Chief-of-Staff, Director of the ISA, the Israel Police Inspector General and other officials.

Times of Israel reports: The five killed in tonight’s terror attack in the Tel Aviv suburbs, join the two others killed in a terror shooting in Hadera on Sunday and four more killed in a terror shooting in Beersheba last Tuesday.

Eleven terror victims in one week is the largest number since 2006 when a suicide bus bombing killed 11 Israelis in Tel Aviv.

This week’s number is more than the years 2020 and 2021 combined R”L.

For the first time since “The Guardian of the Walls”: The Israeli Police chief has instructed to raise the alert of the Israel Police to the highest level.

Mayors of multiple cities (Kiryat Gan, Ashdod, etc.) are halting construction work while workers are screened. Starting tomorrow, Israeli police task headquarters will deal with ongoing security – this means that the police will stop most of its activities and focus on counterterrorism, presence on the streets and civilian security.

An order has been issued instructing thousands of police officers to begin securing educational institutions, central stations and crowded places across Israel.


Update from United Hatzalah on scene:

United Hatzalah volunteers treated numerous people for injuries as a result of multiple shootings that took place on Bialik Street, Herzl Street, and HaShnaim Street in Bnei Brak.  

United Hatzalah volunteer EMT Motti Noiman who was one of the first responders at the scene relayed: ” I treated a single individual who sustained gunshot wounds, he was in serious condition. The Psychotrauma and Crisis Response Unit of the organization was dispatched to deal with several people who suffered from shock as a result of witnessing the shooting.” 

United Hatzalah volunteer EMT Avi Fishman who was also one of the first responders at the scene relayed, “Together with other EMS personnel, I treated one person who suffered from gunshot wounds and was taken to the hospital in critical condition. Unfortunately, four people were pronounced dead at the scene. Our Psychotrauma and Crisis Response Unit was active at the scene treating multiple people for emotional shock as a result of the shooting incidents.” 

United Hatzalah volunteer EMT Akiva Kauffman who was another first responder at the scene relayed: “While I was riding my emergency e-bike I heard gunshots. I rushed over to the scene and began treating one person in critical condition who was then taken to the hospital.”  

Overall, there were four people killed, one in critical condition, and several others suffering from shock.


Tragic Update: ZAKA is now reporting that four victims have been pronounced dead HY”D. One remains in critical condition, after a shooting took place in Bnei Brak on Tuesday. Tefillos needed.



At least 5 people have been wounded in a shooting incident in Bnei Brak, medics say.

The Magen David Adom ambulance service says it received reports of a shooting on HaShnayim Street in the city. At least four of the victims are in serious condition.

According to some initial reports, a man opened fire at people on the street while riding on a motorcycle. This is the latest of a recent number of terror attack throughout central Israel, putting the country on high alert.
