Overnight (Monday), a projectile was launched from Lebanon into Israeli territory. The projectile landed in an open area near Kibbutz Matzuva in northern Israel.

In response to the launch, IDF Artillery targeted the area of the source of the projectile launched and an infrastructure target located in open areas in southern Lebanon.
Lebanon’s military said at least 50 artillery shells struck several areas in the south early Monday but reported no casualties or damages. It said Israel also launched 40 flare bombs.

The launch was reportedly from the same area south of Tyre as the incident on the 13th May 2021 when three rocket were launched.
