Tragic Untimely Passing of Young Yeshiva Bachur From Kew Gardens: Nerya Aranbayev A”H

With shock and sadness, the we regret to inform the community of the untimely petirah of Nerya Aranbayev, a”h, 20, son of Avraham and Svetlana Aranbayev of Kew Gardens, Queens. Aranbayev graduated from Rabbi Nerya Aminov’s Metivta Tiferet Torah, and at the time of his passing was a bochur in its associated Bet Midrash Ateret Gavriel, which is based on the Ner Mordechai campus.

Aranbayev was known to always boast a smile, lend a helping hand, and bring warmth to those he encountered.

Yesterday, Aranbayev went missing while swimming with friends during a boating trip on Lake Pleasant in Maricopa County, Arizona. A search ended with the recovery of his body in the early morning hours, according to an audio statement from Rabbi Ariel Shoshan, rav of Ahavas Torah of Scottsdale and a chaplain in the Maricopa Sheriff’s office. Misaskim of Los Angeles is coordinating kavod hames with local law enforcement.
