INSANITY: Three Juveniles Released After Stealing Cars, Causing $500k in Damages & Injuring Police Officers

1

Nassau Police observed a stolen vehicle in great neck and after an attempt to pull the vehicle over, the vehicles driver intentionally collided with a marked police vehicle.

The three occupants in the stolen vehicle proceeded westbound to the LIE where they intentionally collided with another three police vehicles causing heavy damage to all four of them.

Three police officers and two detectives were injured and are currently on medical leave.

The three arrested are adolescent offenders between the age of 16 and 17 years old from Newark, New Jersey. Two of the arrested were released with ankle bracelets and one Arrestee was held due to an open warrant in New Jersey.

The Nassau County Police Department reminds all residents to remove their FOBs and to lock their vehicles at all times to assist us in combating this increase in stolen automobiles.

Insane statistic: In all of last year there were just 122 stolen cars, this year has already seen 370 stolen cars. Thats a whopping 206% increase in auto theft in just one year!

See the moment the car was stolen from the gas station on Long Island:

Local leaders are fed up with the horrific NYS bail laws, which facilitated the immediate release of these three thugs:

Nassau County Executive Bruce Blakeman: Something needs to change! NYS laws allow these gun-carrying thugs to be treated with kid gloves despite hurting cops, stealing cars, and damaging property. It’s insane!

“It’s like NYS is inviting criminals from all around the region. We’ve got 16 and 17 year olds who know the difference between right and wrong who we now treat like they’re little kids. The state’s liberal policies are making our communities less safe.”

Nassau Police Commissioner Patrick Ryder: 3 bad guys steal a car, run from cops, wreck 4 police cars, put five cops in the hospital and get released the next morning. We need help from Albany and from our communities! We need change in the law and we can help by locking cars and removing the fob. Let’s not make it easy!

  1. Let’s be very clear here — Blakeman thinks we’re stupid — assault on a police officer, criminal possession of a weapon, and other charges here are all bail eligible.

It was the JUDGE — appointed by Blakeman and the Republicans — who decided to have rachmanus here and let the kids out of jail.

This has NOTHING to do with bail reform. Even before it passed, judges did this stuff all the time – it is their decision. If you don’t like it, vote Blakeman out since he appoints the District Court Judges.
