On Wednesday, Israel welcomed its 30,000th Ukrainian refugee fleeing the war-torn country. Thousands of people are still expected to arrive, Israel’s Aliyah and Integration Minister Pnina Tamano-Shata said in a statement.
“Thousands more are expected to arrive in Israel. We are doing everything possible in the government to assist in their optimal integration in Israel.”
I commend the decision of the Supreme Court of the State of Israel, which obliges the government of 🇮🇱 to abolish any additional restrictions on the entry of citizens of 🇺🇦. The rule of law and respect for human rights is exactly what distinguishes a true, developed democracy!
