New Poll Reveals Slight Zeldin Lead Over Hochul

Republican Rep. Lee Zeldin, of Long Island, has for the first time taken a very slight lead against Democratic incumbent Kathy Hochul, a new poll published Friday has revealed.

The independent co/efficient survey of 1,056 likely voters shows Zeldin with 45.6% support and Hochul at 45.3% with the rest undecided.

“The shift has been led by predominantly white and Hispanic registered Democrats defecting to support Zeldin, the Republican candidate” said a co/efficient pollster Ryan Munce.

Zeldin has run a campaign with a sharp focus on the dramatic rise in crimes around NYC and that seems to be paying off, as many New Yorkers are sick and tired of seeing their city in the current state.
