A terrorist shot live fire near the Tzion Barrier in Chevron earlier today. A security guard in the area neutralized the terrorist.
A father and son had gone shopping in the area when they came under fight by live shots. A number of civilians were injured & were evacuated for medical treatment.
Hadassah Ein Karem hospital announced that the father in his 50’s was R”L niftar in the attack. His son remains in light condition.
Another seriously wounded victim is a medic who arrived at scene to treat the father and son who were shot near a Palestinian store in Hebron. Three others were injured in the attack and remain in light condition as well.
A message from PM Yair Lapid following the horrific attack:
“A short time ago, I held a security situation assessment following the attack in Kiryat Arba and instructed the reinforcement of the security forces in the area and continued alertness in all the arenas. I share in the grief of the family of the person murdered in tonight’s attack. There are no words that can comfort you at this difficult time. I wish a speedy recovery to the injured. We will act with all the tools at our disposal and we will not allow terrorism to raise its head.”
