MI KIAMCHA: Hatzalah Member Stops Mid Race During NYC Marathon to Save A Life

0

Ari Schwebel, a Hatzalah member who dedicates his life 24/7 to saving lives, is also an avid runner. He participated in this past week’s NYC marathon.

Ari trains rigorously each and every year and works hard to beat his previous years’ marathon record. Every year, he sees the fruits of his labor and improves his time: 2016 – 4 hrs:40 min, 2017 – 4 hrs:11 min, 2018 – 3 hrs:53 min, 2021 – 3 hrs:33 min.

This year, he chose to save a life instead of beating his personal record. While running in Sunday’s marathon, he stopped to give medical attention to runners in distress. Doctors say he likely saved a life as they applauded his selfless efforts.

What a beautiful way to make a kiddush Hashem and to show concern for others over yourself.
