Hezbollah is a terrorist military with an extremist, anti-democratic ideology. Its destructive agenda aims to wipe the State of Israel off the map and aid the Iranian regime in gaining control in the Middle East. To this day, Hezbollah receives funds, weapons, and instructions from Iran. It operates aggressively to destabilize the region and endangers global energy supplies.
With Iranian support, Hezbollah has become the world’s most heavily-armed terrorist military. Its vast arsenal comprises over 200,000 rockets, missiles, and mortars –including precision-guided weapons–as well as armed and suicide drones. These weapons are aimed directly at Israeli population centers and critical civilian infrastructure.
Hezbollah exploits the State of Lebanon and the Lebanese people to advance its destructive agenda. The Lebanese people are living through the worst economic crisis in its history. Hezbollah is one of the main causes of this crisis and continues to exploit it by funneling vital resources away from the Lebanese state and people and toward its terrorist activity. Moreover, it hides behind Lebanese men, women and children as a shield for its terrorist activity by embedding its military infrastructure inside civilian areas.
Hezbollah is a global threat. Since its founding, Hezbollah has taken its terrorism and criminal activity beyond the borders of Lebanon. To fund its terrorist activities, Hezbollah operates a global drug trafficking and money laundering network. Over the last 40 years, it has carried out bombings, hijackings and kidnappings killing hundreds of people across the world. Even today, Hezbollah operates terrorist cells on every continent. There is a reason so many countries– such as the United States, United Kingdom and Germany–officially recognize Hezbollah as a terrorist organization.
