The winter of zero snow storms has finally given us something to look forward to.
There is currently a storm system headed our way. As a result, most of the day today, Monday, 2/27, is quiet, with sunshine. However, late tonight, snowfall can begin accumulating an inch per hour. Eventually, by midday, Tuesday, roads and storm conditions should start to slow down. As a result, one can expect delays in the Tuesday morning drive.
The storm will impact Northern New Jersey into Hudson Valley, NYC, and Long Island. Up to 8 inches are possible for parts of New Jersey, 5″-8″ are projected in several NJ counties, and that number goes up in higher elevated areas. However, new York City into New Jersey and most of Long Island can expect 1″-3″.
County Executive Bruce Blakeman “With 2-5 inches of snow forecasted for tonight into the morning, we’re loading trucks and preparing to clear the roads and keep you safe during your commute.”
Another storm is already showing up on the radars for the end of the week, and we will give further updates as we get closer once the latest models have a better picture of that storm.
Winter may finally arrive in #NYC today. ❄️@HeatherWxTv says 3 to 6 inches of snow is expected today. The snow will start around 6 p.m. and continue through Tuesday afternoon. ☃️ pic.twitter.com/vjv28gckCv

Yes. It's really going to snow in NYC. It will be a wet and slushy snowfall. Worst of it happens tonight. pic.twitter.com/X1HOHpdRCE
