Tel Aviv has come under rocket attack from Gaza. A massive rocket barrage was fired moments ago across southern and central Israel. Over 100 rockets have been launched into Israel in the last hour alone.
The Iron Dome batteries were deployed last night near southern cities near Gaza in preparation for this response from the Palestinian Islamic Jihad. The Iron Dome has been intercepting many of the rockets.
Sirens and explosions were heard in the Tel Aviv area, including Tel Aviv, Ramat Gan, Rishon L’Tzion, Bat Yam, Holon, and Giv’atayim.
Following the rocket barrages, several reports were received in United Hatzalah’s Dispatch and Command Center regarding about ten people who suffered from the emotional shock and a few who were lightly injured after tripping while running to shelters. United Hatzalah volunteers are on their way to the scenes of these incidents.
Overnight, the IDF carried out another airstrike in southern Gaza, by eliminating a group of vehicles with terrorists, on the way to a firing platform to fire rockets at Israel.
Hamas health ministry in Gaza says 17 dead, 37 wounded since the IDF launched its “Shield & Arrow” operation.
Ben Gurion Airport continues to operate normally at this time. There is currently no impact on the flight schedule. The flight routes were adjusted as needed and coordinated with the Air Force.
May there be peace in Israel, Besuros Tovos.
This is what a concealed rocket launcher ready to shoot at Israeli civilians looks like. We have been operating to thwart planned attacks just like this one.
We will continue operating to do so. pic.twitter.com/qND1UGEvXH

Israel is facing a massive barrage of rockets. Imagine how high the death toll would be were it not for Iron Dome, which has intercepted almost all the missiles fired and saved lives.
I will continue voting for missile defense systems that protect civilians from terrorism.

This was my experience just now … was in taxi, near Tel Aviv, on way to pick up my youngest from day care. Red Alert went off. We got out of car, middle of freeway. No immediate shelter. Many people, kids, running for safety. Iron Dome saved us. #IsraelUnderAttack pic.twitter.com/pKavUGezm9

Israel’s policy is clear and our message to the terrorists is also clear: You can run. You can hide. But in the end, Israel will get you. pic.twitter.com/2yU1QIark0

At this time of deep concern for innocent lives, once again threatened by violence and terror, we pray for the fulfillment of Hashem’s words in this week’s Torah portion of Bechukotai: “You will dwell safely in your land. And I will give peace in the land, and you will lie down… https://t.co/wk7Pml35cJ
