Our comprehensive Digital Illustration course is split into 30 lessons within 5 modules. We start with the DIGITAL part- becoming familiar with both the hardware an th software. We then move onto FUNDEMENTALS. Like previous student Shaindy K said ‘’When I signed up, I had already been taking art classes for years, and thought I’d just need learn the digital part. Boy was I wrong! Berlingerart Academy taught me so many fundamentals I didn’t even know I was missing!’’ Whether you’ve been drawing for years, or are a real newbie each of our students gain massively from our fundamentals lessons where we learn perspective, lighting, shading and much more. The 3 rd module is ANATOMY. There we delve into human facial features, how to portray ages, sizing, postures, gestures- literally bringing illustrated people to life! This module is taught in an utmost tzanua way, without compromising on quality of learning.
Our next module is COLOr ND COMPOSITION. This fascinating module is all about taking what we’ve learnt to the next level. We learn color theory, how to set up a scene, and much more! We focus a lot on helping our students develop their own unique style (what do you like Norman Rockwell, Richard Scurry or Dr Suess:)?)- see the variety for yourself!
The final module is MARKETING. At Berlingerart Academy, we don’t just teach you the illustrating skills and drop you off like that. We actually take you through the process of building your portfolio, understanding contracts, rights and ownership, how to market and grow in the business world, setting your mind to success, and more!
After each lesson, there are targeted and well designed assignments crafted to ensure you practice the skills we taught and are that you are actually internalizing what you are learning.
