Every Jewish campus should have such a mandate at this time.

Additionally, there are many fine Jewish colleges that provide a high level of education. All Jewish professors and funding in the Ivy League schools should look towards Jewish colleges.

  1. First off, Jewish colleges do not provide as quality of an education as some of these other institutions provide. Secondly, TABC is a school of probably around 70 per graduating class – of which 80%+ attend Touro, Yeshiva University or the CUNY system. The CUNY system provides a much more affordable option that these “Jewish” schools cannot provide. While this mandate is nice, it’s all fluff aside from the fact that it’s limiting the students options for a better education and may ultimately hurt their chance should a school not accept student from that high school because of such a mandate.

  2. Completely agree. YU needs to stop charging upwards of 50,000 dollars in tuition. Rabbi Eliach’s email to NYU was a chillul hashem.
