In a recent incident reported in Cedarhurst’s Cedar Bay Park, two BMW vehicles parked outside a residence became the target of a burglary at 2:40 am early Monday morning.
Multiple perpetrators, wearing ski masks and gloves, entered a local house through a backyard window. While the residents and children were asleep, the intruders searched through jacket pockets, locating the keys to one of the BMW cars. They exited through the same window, driving off with one of the vehicles.
This story was shared with 5TC by a concerned neighbor who was made aware of the unsettling event. The community is urged to remain vigilant and consider enhancing home security measures, such as installing alarm systems around houses and windows. Additionally, there is a suggestion to inquire within the community if similar incidents have occurred, especially among those who own BMWs that were recently serviced.
According to the victim, the police suspect that the burglary may be connected to the recent servicing of the BMW, with a possibility that individuals within the workshop tipped off the perpetrators and specifically targeted the serviced vehicle.
B’Chasdei Hashem nobody in the home was harmed during the burglary, but this should certainly act as a reminder to lock all doors and windows at night.

Moral of the story – don’t show off. Stop with the BMW’s. I have a 7 year old Ford and a 6 year old banged up Toyota van and I sleep very well.

We are Jews and we deserve the best. Let the goyim drive the least sophisticated vehicles as if we go for the fanciest weddings , engagements, simchas , sheitels ,dress and Jewelry then whoever says stop at the car is just jealous.
