Times Square came alive Motsai Shabbos with a global celebration of “Jewish Identity”, featuring Gad Elbaz and other renowned performers. The great display of Jewish pride and solidarity also had Tefillos for the immediate release of the hostages, a special Havdalah ceremony, and meaningful Achdus that will last the teens a life time.

Surrounded by a sea of brightly colored beanies and the vibrant energy of approximately 3,000 – 5,000 teenagers from the world’s largest network of Jewish teens. “At a time when Jews like myself can be scared at times to walk the streets, to see such a level of outward Jewish pride on the streets of NYC was exhilarating” said JS.

“This year’s event comes with extra significance as we stand at a critical point for Jews worldwide,” said Rabbi Mendy Kotlarsky, executive director of Merkos 302, “the Jewish response has always been to double down on embracing our faith with joy and pride. That’s what tonight is all about.”
