Yonati, a 48-year-old father of two, is the CEO at Extreme Solutions, a company specializing in training elite units and emergency organizations to handle extreme emergency situations, particularly severe blood loss in battle. His expertise took him to the USA before the outbreak of war, where he trained the US Air Force to treat serious injuries in the event of a terror attack on a US Base in the Middle East.

However, on January 8th, Yonati found himself in a dire situation. Severely injured and laying on the ground in the heart of the Zeitoun neighborhood in Gaza City, he had been hit by six bullets, one of which pierced his lung, causing him to bleed profusely and struggle to breathe.

B’chasdei Hashem, Litav, an IDF paramedic who had previously taken a course provided by Yonati’s company, rushed to the scene. Drawing on the knowledge she had gained from Yonati’s training, Litav performed emergency surgery in the field, following the procedures taught by Extreme Solutions, to keep Yonati alive until he could be evacuated to the hospital.

Yonati remained in a medically induced coma for two weeks as doctors fought to save his life. During this time, Litav visited him in the hospital, uncertain of how he would react upon seeing her. She had, after all, cut him open and performed surgery without anesthesia, an experience she knew could not have been pleasant for him.

Yonati’s wife expressed gratitude to Litav, acknowledging her role in bringing the father of her children back to life. It was a testament to the life-saving skills and quick thinking instilled in Litav by Yonati’s company.

As Yonati continues his journey towards recovery, we Daven for his full recovery and a future filled with good health and happiness.
