Update: The officer was shot in the stomach by a career criminal during a traffic stop in Far Rockaway.
The driver of the car that was pulled over, a 34-year-old man with 21 PRIOR ARRESTS, shot through the window of the vehicle, striking the uniformed officer around 5:50 p.m. near 19-19 Mott Avenue in Far Rockaway.
The broken legal system we have here in NYC is completely responsible for the condition of the officer. We hope he survives!
This man should never have been let out back in the streets.

A police officer was shot in the chest in Far Rockaway and was rushed to Jamaica Hospital. The officer was shot under the vest, and his condition sounds very serious, we will wait until the official report comes out. May we hear good news.
Mott Avenue, between Central Ave and Smith Place, is blocked off as the investigation continues. Helicopters and a heavy police presence remains in the area.
We are hearing reports of two individuals who were taken into custody.

3000 low income apartments allowed to be built with no condemnation from the five towns / far Rockaway community. Don’t you think that these incidents are bound to happen . This is at the door of these projects that look nice on the outside as a disguise , as inside is rotten to the core . If you believe that there is a border between a few blocks in at Beach 9 and the rest of the five towns , think again .
We have to lock up these animals … first on the Laurelton/Rosedale LIRR stops stabbing each other and now shooting cops.
