In an interview aired on Tuesday, President Joe Biden once again criticized Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s handling of the situation in Gaza, labeling it a “mistake,” and urging Israel to push for a ceasefire.
Biden’s remarks represent one of his most forceful criticisms of Netanyahu to date, highlighting escalating tensions surrounding civilian casualties and deteriorating conditions in Gaza.
Furthermore, the president’s call for a ceasefire signifies a departure from his earlier stance, wherein he emphasized Hamas’s responsibility to engage in negotiations and release hostages.
Former Ambassador David Friedman: “Israel is fighting for its life and Biden is fighting for Michigan. Balancing those competing interests, I’m with Israel!”
