The much-anticipated IDF incursion into Rafah, which is Hamas’s last remaining stronghold in Gaza has commenced.
IDF jets have initiated intense bombing raids on terrorist infrastructure within the city, while a column of Israeli tanks has been reported to be advancing into the eastern part of Rafah.
Prime Minister’s Office:
“The War Cabinet unanimously decided that Israel continues the operation in Rafah to exert military pressure on Hamas to promote the release of our hostages and the other goals of the war.
At the same time, although the Hamas proposal is far from Israel’s necessary requirements, Israel will send a delegation of mediators to exhaust the possibility of reaching an agreement under conditions acceptable to Israel.”

Israel: Here are the terms of our proposed ceasefire.
Hamas: No. We will fire rockets at your soldiers at a humanitarian aid entry.
Israel: Okay, we're going into Rafah.
Hamas: We accept a ceasefire we negotiated with ourselves.
Media: Hamas accepts ceasefire! They want peace!— Ben Shapiro (@benshapiro) May 6, 2024
May HAshem protect our troops, the captives and all civilians in harms way due to Hamas not allowing them to evacuate. Besuros Tovos.
