Executive Curran Seeing ‘Slight Uptick’, 5 Towns Positive Cases Remain Consistent

2

After seeing the warning of Executive Curran, we decided to once again dissect the numbers. While Nassau County as a whole is having a “slight uptick,” the numbers in the 5 Towns continue the same slight rise that we’ve seen the past few weeks.

Week of Aug 3rd Positive Cases:
Cedarhurst: 193 (July 26: 188) – up
Inwood: 368 (July 26: 364) – up
Woodmere: 632 (July 26: 626) – up
Hewlett: 210 (July 26: 208) – up
Lawrence: 272 (July 26: 269) – up

As previously stressed, the increase in numbers is likely because there has been an increase in testing. As always, one should continue to properly distance and wear masks when needed.

  1. Who cares about the positive as long as the deaths have stopped. Why don’t you post all the deaths of Cancer? HeArt failure? Flue? Enough with the negativity

  2. Each positive case can bring us more infections. It’s not only about the deaths. This disease can impact people’s health for the rest of their lives!
