PSEG Issues Warning Ahead of Strong Winds for Tonight and Tomorrow Morning

0

A wind advisory will be in effect from this afternoon into the early hours of Thursday. PSEG Long Island is monitoring the forecast, with wind gusts of up to 50 mph expected.

Our crews will be ready to respond to any outages safely and quickly and we will add extra staffing overnight. We have already enhanced our call center and other systems and will continuously monitor all of our technology for any issues.

Please remain indoors if you see repair crews. If you must speak with them, please practice physical distancing of at least six feet.

When restoring power, our first priority is always critical facilities, such as hospitals, firehouses and police stations.

After a storm, we must first assess damage to determine the time and resources needed to restore power. Before we can provide an accurate Estimated Time of Restoration (ETR) you may first see “Assessing Damage” in a message you receive from us or on the online outage map. We will provide an ETR as soon as possible and, because it is an estimate, an ETR could change.

Be sure to download our mobile app to report an outage and track progress on the MyPower Map. Visit us online for storm preparedness tips.
