WEATHER UPDATE: More than 4,000 people across New York and New Jersey are without power Tuesday morning as a nor’easter continues to drench the region.
A flash flood watch is also in effect for the entire tri-state area Tuesday morning, according to the National Weather Service.
Strong winds are expected across coastal portions of the region Tuesday into Wednesday, the NWS said.

We have been informed of flooding and many concealed pot holes around town. At least a dozen flat tires have been reported in the Van Wyck and on Rockaway Turnpike. Please drive slow.
The Rockaway Blvd stretch across the airport as of 7:45 AM were impassable due to flooding. The waters are higher than ordinary sedan tires. Take North Woodmere instead.
Rain is continuing to intensify this morning, making road conditions very slick. Please avoid travel if possible. If you are driving, please avoid traveling through areas with localized flooding as those puddles can be deceiving. #noreaster pic.twitter.com/z2UC7bkCaQ
