NYPD and RNSP are investigating a potential child abducted situation that took place this afternoon at around 4:00 PM in Far Rockaway.
A young girl left Bnos Bais Yaakov on Beach 9th St. and was suddenly approached by a man further down Beach 9th. He told her to get into his car. The girl refused and immediately ran away. The man took a picture of her and quickly fled in a black car, now possibly being identified as a black Mercedes.
NYPD were called right away and are now conducting a full investigation, combing through hours of video footage. NYPD and RNSP have added patrols in the area for extra security at this time.
This can be a good time to remind your children about safety in these type of scary situations. If anybody has any information on the individual or the specifics of the car involved, please call NYPD or RNSP, as any additional information can prove to be very helpful.
