Chabad Village, Three Miles From Russian Bombing, Hosts Hundreds of Jews Fleeing Ukraine

i24NEWS Correspondent reports from Ukraine amid the Russian invasion of the country.

A small village, just 3 miles outside the Russian bombing of Kiev, is hosting hundreds of Jews per day. The village is currently completely encircled by Russian forces, that are aiming towards Kiev, and thankfully for the time being all locals are safe.

The local Chabad has hosted hundreds of refugees since the start of the invasion. Rabbi Moshe Asman mentioned he doesn’t plan on leaving the village until the very last Jew gets out of harms way.

Rabbi Asman started the village just seven years ago and has had the privilege of hosting the fleeing refugees from war-tarn Ukraine.

We wish R’ Asman well in his Avodas Hakodesh and all Ukraine civilians should remain safe.
