The Ponovezher Rosh Yeshiva, Rav Gershon Edelstein Shlit”a, addressed the Bnei Brak terror attack this evening.
“Jews have been killed, a talmid chochom was killed. Why? What is this? …Why did this suddenly happen? It could be that Rav Chaim was niftar, and we are lacking zechusim… the loss of a tzaddik.”
“What must we do? What chizuk needs to be made? On three things the world stands: Torah, avodah and gemillus chassodim. Everyone, no matter who, has obligations in what he can add in regards to Torah, to enhance one’s yiras Shomayim, middos tovos, and learning sifrei mussar.”
