The pre-Pesach travel season is now in full swing. Record breaking numbers of Israelis are traveling abroad, after two years of restrictive Covid rules.

This has caused massive backups at Ben Gurion airport. The large crowds, combined with Covid-induced staff cuts, have created extraordinarily long lines at check-in, security and passport control. Chaim V’Chessed has been contacted by numerous passengers who have missed their flights to due the extreme wait times.

Airline officials have reached out to Chaim V’Chessed and have advised that passengers should expect considerable delays in checking in and reaching their flights. They urge passengers to arrive for departing flights at least ONE ADDITIONAL HOUR earlier than they would arrive under normal circumstances.
