Drive-By Shooting on Mott Ave in Far Rockaway: Two Injured

2

NYPD are currently investigating after a young 28-year-old mother was shot Friday night in Far Rockaway. A man was also shot in the arm, according to police.

The woman was walking with her two young children (ages 2 and 5) outside 15-02 Mott Ave. Drivers in a black SUV shot the woman multiple times, hitting her twice. A 44-year-old man was also hit in the shooting. Both were rushed by ambulances and are listed in stable condition. Thankfully, the young children were not injured in the incident.

The car that was involved in the drive-by shooting is reportedly a black Acura MDX with the back right tire riding on a spare tire. After the shooting, the vehicle fled southbound on Mott Avenue.

This same car was involved in another crime this past week. A robbery of $7,000 of marijuana and $2,000 cash was stolen from an individual at Ocean Park Market, on Seagirt Boulevard on Thursday.

Suspects remain on the loose at this time.

  1. We need more and better police protection and for these criminals to be locked up. Not a change in gun laws. We need more resources to find this criminal who is still on the loose.

  2. as long as achiezer, darchei, and agudah allow their voice behind democrat’s nothing will change in this town. what a joke the rabbanim did having the meeting in the white shul a few weeks ago when in reality nothing changed. then again those that voted for adams and democrats are not even in town during the summer and have no clue what we go through.
