(Queens, NY) – After a manual hand recount and court cases to ensure that every voter’s voice was heard and every vote counted, Assemblywoman Stacey Pheffer Amato has been re-elected to represent the 23rd District in Queens.

“I know this has been a long and difficult process for everyone involved,” said Assemblywoman Pheffer Amato. “The wheels of our American democracy do not always turn as quickly as we’d like, but preserving the integrity of our elections, ensuring the accuracy of the count, and defending the right of every voter’s voice to be heard is more important than expediency.”

The counting of 74 newly-cured absentee ballots, 4 affidavit ballots, and 11 ballots with votes cast for the two candidates all added to Assemblywoman Pheffer Amato’s lead, securing her re-election by a final margin of 15 votes.

“I want to thank all of my supporters, my family and friends, and my constituents for their patience throughout this process, and I am humbled and honored to once again be selected by the voters to represent this wonderful district,” said Pheffer Amato. “We have important work to do to fight for our community and stand up for our working families. This election is over, and I look forward to continuing this work for my constituents.”

Assemblymember Pheffer Amato prevailed with one of the largest over-performances in the state, exceeding the top-of-the-ticket by 24% due to crossover support. The election results are expected to be officially certified in the coming days.

  1. Fake. She should have no she really lost and somehow they found the ballots. this town is a disgrace. the democrats are a disgrace. any jew that voted for her are a disgrace.

  2. You are very wrong. SHE IS VERY GOOD TO THE YIDDEN. If you live in her district, you can talk. Otherwise, please mind your own business

  3. I live in her district and she has done nothing for us. As one of her constituents I am disgusted at her corruption and the tantrum that she threw because she lost.

  4. IVY-getting a few dollars for non profit doesn’t mean she is doing good for us. I live in far rockaway- roads suck, she had no sway over DOT regarding Seagirt as they still built biciyle roads there, crime is still high, A train station is very dangerous, more apartment buildings are built under her watch. Yes Ivy unless you are one of those people that go for the photo op with her detail how every frum yidden living in far rockaway has benefited from her. The schools complain they need more money to hire police why couldn’t she get those funds. Its similar to DA Katz who comes with a whole bunch of problems.

  5. I live in far Rockaway and boy this is bad new for the Jews. She voted for bail reform !!! Enough said. She’s a baby and a liar and I’m embarrassed she’s my Assemblywoman. But the good news is now everyone knows how competitive this seat really is and her opponent in 2 years will take the race seriously as will we. And then we’ll finally kick Stacey out for good!!

  6. She is the best elected official far Rockaway has and probably ever had. To blame her for our bad roads makes no sense. Roads are managed by the city. However, she still does help people with city issues and has helped alot of people in our community maybe that is why you think its her responsibility. She is a chesed organization for our community but perhaps couldn’t solve an issue you had. One thing is for sure a republican in her seat will get nothing done. There are 103 democrats against 45 Republicans in the assembly. They have absolutely no say.

  7. In response to comment 1 about our town being a disgrace. The Far Rockaway community overwhelmingly voted for Stacy. The Rabbanim support Stacy. Perhaps you need to reevaluate

  8. I had a major problem with the department of buildings. I called her office and they were extremely helpful and they solved it within weeks. This a a problem I had for months and couldn’t get anyone to help me. I called her office and it was solved. They were really nice and really wanted to help and did big time.

  9. Hmm- so unless you work for a non for profit (shuls, schools, hatzhalah) and will get money from her via the state there really is no reason to vote for her @ the facts plus the Rabbanim have supported Hochul and she is terrible
@they really help- again Darchei asked her to help with Seagirt to no avail
@Really- here are what she voted on that will hurt frum yidden-bail reform, she voted on lowering class sizes but frum schools haven’t listened to it, allows people to sue gun manufactures which is insane, allows voting to felons, anytime an officer kills someone there is a special investigation in the AG office (like the one now), wave court fees where defendant is 21 (why would a criminal stop if they pay less in court fees), revokes suspensions of drivers licenses if driver doesn’t pay tickets (so we have more unsafe drivers), voted to protected the tenants and mess over landlord bill, expanded healthcare to anyone with out cause practically and is reason healthcare is so expensive and not so good.

Perhaps undocumented people not having drivers license might be a good thing or not I am unsure.

Maybe she should write a bill of all the illegal basement apartments and we will see how quickly people will change their tune.

  10. If you’re a leftist then no issue in supporting her as her values are yours however don’t say that you are conservative or right wing when you support her as then you’re a phony. If someone is a conservative and you care about religious values they’re is no way that you can support her and if you did because she helped you or your institution then your not a conservative, you are a phony opportunist ,Can’t have it both ways.
