Two incidents occurred over Shabbos. Around 8:30 PM, two cars drove around screaming and intimidating Jewish people in the community. Then at about 9:00 PM, a car pulled up next to a few Jewish teens around the Lawrence – Cedarhurst border. Four perpetrators, wearing ski masks, got out of the car, chased the young frum teens, and assaulted them. They quickly jumped back into their car and sped away. Rockaway Nassau Safety Patrol, along with Nassau County Police and NYPD, are seriously investigating these incidents.
If you saw anything suspicious over Shabbos or think you may have captured some video of these perpetrators, please contact RNSP 516 858-7300 and the Police. The vehicles are described as a dark Cadillac and a grey Honda.

I understand the frustration and fear but the comment about GG employees is blatantly racist. The employees in Gourmet Glatt are decent human beings with families to support and are helping the community. This is not a way to talk about decent non Jews who have nothing to do with what happened. And yes, the entire community needs to be more vigilant and please, everyone, everyone get cameras installed on your properties so we will always have footage to identify aggressors.

They’re not angry at us, it can’t be solved by better behavior and employees at GG are all working people with better things to do than anonymously attack people they know. Absolutely correct about cameras. Install high res (clear and detailed picture) ones on your home and dashboards so faces and license plates are clear. The attackers’ biggest fear is being identified. Gray and blurry won’t help… Good color, low light, high detail, able to capture eyes, noses, clothing, tattoos , license plates and identifying marks on skin and cars… That’ll stand up in court and give police true, useable evidence.

Cameras aren’t worthless. Please don’t spread that, you will make police work harder, and our neighborhood unsafer. Many models on amazon /online have very good resolution and work at night as well. We all need cameras asap

These boys were walking to a friend 3 blocks away at 8:45pm to learn . They are very respectable and we’re minding their own business . The boys were surrounded by 2 cars full of teens in ski masks . I am so sad to see these comments about Gourmet Glatt employees! Two weeks ago I dropped my wallet on Irving Place and one of their employees found it and looked me up on Facebook to return it to me (with EVERYTHING still in it)!
