Ari Brown: “Budget Delayed Over Three Weeks: Dysfunctional Albany Unable to Make a Deal”

2

Assemblyman Ari Brown (R-Cedarhurst) joined colleagues from the Assembly and Senate Minority Conferences for a press conference addressing the current state of the budget today on the Million Dollar Staircase in the Capitol. After five extenders the budget is nearing its fourth week of delay. Albany Democrats continue to have discussions behind closed doors while failing to provide a cost-effective and serviceable proposal.

“It is an embarrassment that a Majority with such a monopoly on power has failed week after week to address key issues of affordability and public safety. This Majority is unfit to serve New Yorkers. We will demand budget bills age properly, there is no reason for budget details to remain hidden nearly four weeks after it was first due. Single-party rule on this level has only led to dysfunction and cannot serve New Yorkers effectively,” said Brown.

  1. WARNING: Broadway this sunday will be blocked off for a useless street fair no one goes to. I have emailed our local republican politicians who control whether private groups can block off streets for this stuff but they do nothing as usual. Vote them out and beware!!!!!
