IDF says approximately 22 rockets were fired from the Gaza Strip toward Sderot, Israel, and surrounding areas. The iron dome intercepted five missiles. This new wave of terror comes after terror factions threatened retaliation following the death of senior PIJ member Khader Adnan in Israeli prison following his 87-day hunger strike.
Israel has confirmed multiple impacts (see footage below). As a result, residents are taking shelter at this time.
First responders are treating a 25-year-old male in serious condition following shrapnel injuries sustained from a rocket impact in Sderot. In addition, United Hatzalah ambulance team in Sderot is transporting a man in his 70s to the hospital after he suffered a head contusion while running for shelter due to the alert sirens. The man is in light condition.
The Psychotrauma and Crisis Response Unit is treating a mother and her two children for emotional shock due to the sirens in Sderot.
Likewise, United Hatzalah’s dispatch center is fielding dozens of calls from residents of the Gaza periphery regarding the sirens and rocket barrage asking for assistance.
Volunteers are en route to two other locations after receiving reports of rocket impacts in the region.
