A shooting attack unfolded near a shopping mall in Maaleh Adumim near Yerushalayim. The incident resulted in multiple casualties, with five victims reported by United Hatzalah and MDA (Magen David Adom). Among the wounded were a 40-year-old male in serious condition and three males aged 29, 28, and 37 in moderate condition.
According to reports, the attack involved the use of an M-16 style rifle. However, the swift response of a vigilant Border Police officer, who with Heavenly intervention, happened to be on vacation at the scene, led to the neutralization of the terrorist.
MDA EMTs and Paramedics were immediately dispatched to the location and commenced medical treatment for the injured victims. The wounded were subsequently evacuated to Shaare Tzedek and Hadassah Mount Scopus Hospitals for further care.
In response to this ongoing threat, significant police forces are actively engaged in a search for potential accomplices involved in the attack.
United Hatzalah volunteer EMT Meir Bogot said: “When I arrived at the scene I found several people who were injured with gunshot wounds. Together with additional first responders, I provided them with initial treatment which included bleeding control and bandaging, after which they were all transported to the hospital. Due to the nature of the incident, the Psychotrauma and Crisis Response Unit is also active at the location.”
