An apartment building in Rishon Lezion was hit with a direct rocket impact following a barrage of rockets on central Israel from the Gaza Strip in the last hour. More rockets making landfall were reported, with another reported in Rishon Lezion and another in the moshav of Kfar Sirkin, near Petah Tikva. Bichasdei Hashem most residents were in the safe rooms following the sirens.
Following the recent sirens in central Israel, United Hatzalah & Magen David Adom are treating several people in different areas, all of whom suffered light injuries.
Magen David Adom Update: MDA EMTs and Paramedics are treating and evacuating 4 casualties, all in mild condition, 2 in Rishon Letzion and 2 in Petach Tikva.
United Hatzalah Update: “Our volunteers are treating a small number of people for light physical injuries, and nearly a dozen who were suffering emotional shock and received psychological first aid from our Psychotrauma and Crisis Response Unit.”
United Hatzalah volunteer EMT Ben Kohl who was one of the first responders at the scene said: “There was a lot of damage to a number of apartments in the building. Thankfully, most of the residents were in their safe rooms and there were only two injuries. I treated a man in his 30s who was suffering respiratory difficulties due to smoke inhalation, and a man in his 70s who suffered light injuries from shrapnel.”
