Tragic: IDF Death Toll From Ground Invasion Rises to 13 Deaths R”L

Amid the ongoing Israel-Hamas war that began on October 7th, the IDF has suffered devastating losses, with 328 soldiers HY”D tragically killed by Hamas terrorists since day one of the war.

Eleven deaths have been reported since the ground invasion of Gaza.

During an IDF ground operation on Tuesday in northern Gaza, a Hamas rocket-propelled grenade (RPG) struck a building where two Givati IDF soldiers were, tragically claiming their lives. Additionally, an anti-tank missile targeted a tank, resulting in the tragic deaths of seven soldiers and wounding four others. Later, an explosive device took the lives of two soldiers from the 77th Battalion.

The names of the additional nine soldiers killed can be seen below (names of the first two deaths on the strip we reported on yesterday). Each and every soldier is an “Olam Malei” an entire world and every Neshama is an unfathomable loss.

Lt. Ariel Reich HY”D, 24 years old, from Jerusalem, a combat officer in the 77th Battalion, ‘Storm from the Golan’ formation, who was killed in battle in the northern Gaza Strip.

Corporal Asif Luger HY”D, 21 years old, from Yagur, a fighter in the 77th Battalion, ‘Saar Megolan’ formation, who fell in battle in the northern Gaza Strip.

Sergeant Adi Danan HY”D, 20 years old, from Yavne, platoon commander in the Saber Battalion, Givati ​​Brigade, who fell in battle in the north of the Gaza Strip.

Sgt. Halel Solomon HY”D, 20 years old, from Dimona, a fighter in the Saber Battalion, Givati ​​Brigade, who fell in battle in the north of the Gaza Strip.

Sergeant Erez Mishlovsky HY”D, 20 years old, from Oranit, a fighter in the Sabar Battalion, Givati ​​Brigade, who fell in battle in the northern Gaza Strip.

Sergeant Adi Leon HY”D, 20 years old, from Nili, a fighter in the Saber Battalion, Givati ​​Brigade, who fell in battle in the north of the Gaza Strip.

Corporal Ido Ovadia HY”D, 19 years old, from Tel Aviv, a fighter in the Saber Battalion, Givati ​​Brigade, who fell in battle in the north of the Gaza Strip.

Corporal Lior Siminovich HY”D, 19 years old, from Herzliya, a fighter in the Sabar Battalion, Givati ​​Brigade, who fell in battle in the northern Gaza Strip.

Sergeant Roei Dawi HY”D, 20 years old, from Jerusalem, a platoon commander in the Saber Battalion, Givati ​​Brigade, who was killed in battle in the northern Gaza Strip.

Sgt. Pedia Mark HY”D, succumbed to his injuries sustained in the operations in Gaza, marking the 10th Israeli military fatality. Tragically, Mark comes from a family with a history of loss; his father, a Rav, was killed by a terrorist years ago, and he also lost a cousin in the Hamas-led massacre on October 7th.

These brave individuals, who made the ultimate sacrifice defending our country and seeking to rescue hostages. Their courage and memories will forever be blessed.

Prime Minister Netanyahu shared words of condolence and determination, acknowledging the difficulties and sacrifices of the ongoing war. He stated, “We know that every soldier of ours is an entire world. The entire people of Israel embrace you, the families, from the depth of our heart. We are all with you during your heavy sorrow. Our soldiers have fallen in the most just of wars, the war for our home. I promise the citizens of Israel: We will complete the work – we will continue until victory.”
