The IDF completed preparations to receive the released hostages upon their return to Israel from Gaza. Israeli abductees will be handed over at 4:00 PM local time (9:00 AM EST).

In coordination with government ministries and security authorities, they have prepared to quickly receive the released hostages and give them all the necessary support.

Once freed, the hostages will be brought to an airbase in southern Israel for a short physical and mental checkup. They will be given phones so they can call their families.

They will then be taken to a hospital in Israel. Anyone needing immediate medical attention will be taken straight to hospital. Families of the hostages are waiting at the hospitals.

An IDF soldier has been assigned to accompany every released child hostage back to Israel.

If a child asks where their mother or father is, the soldiers have been told to say, “I’m sorry sweetie, I don’t know. My job is to bring you to Israel to a safe place where people you know can answer all your questions.” Some of the children don’t have parents to return to R”L.

The IDF has named the operation to receive the released hostages “Heaven’s Door.”

This morning, 4 tankers of fuel and 4 tankers of cooking gas—designated for operating essential humanitarian infrastructure—were transferred from Egypt to UN humanitarian aid organizations in southern Gaza, via the Rafah Crossing.

This was approved by the Israeli government as part of the pause and the framework for the release of the hostages, as agreed with the US and mediated by Qatar and Egypt.

The IDF completed its operational preparations according to the defensive positions of the pause.

Earlier this morning, troops destroyed a route of underground terrorist tunnels and tunnel shafts in the area of the Shifa Hospital.

In addition, over the last day, troops struck various terrorist targets from the land, air and sea. “We have completed preparations to receive the released hostages upon their return to Israel from Gaza”.
