Ayelet Levy Shachar’s 19-year-old daughter, Naama, was kidnapped on October 7th.

The video of her being taken out of the trunk of a jeep and forced into the main part of the vehicle went viral.

Ayelet has been trying to keep to her normal work schedule as a family doctor while also traveling the world to speak about her daughter’s plight.

This past week, a patient of hers came in for treatment. When it was over, the young man walked toward the door looked back at Ayelet, and said:

“I am so sorry.”

Ayelet asked, “What are you apologizing for?”

He replied with tears in his eyes: “I just finished my reserve duty after a few months in Gaza. I didn’t succeed in bringing your daughter back to you. I am so sorry.”

Incredible sensitivity of the Jewish people. May we see the return of Naama, along with all the remaining hostages speedily!
