  1. This is a community outreach event. This isn’t some classified briefing or something as much as the officious unlicensed YIW “security” people think it is.

  2. Where in the flyer does it say anything about a synagogue security team? This is a panel discussion as you see above? You seem to have an issue with the community’s volunteer security team?

  3. Like many, our community relies on volunteers in many different aspects. Hatzolah, Fire Department, Chaverim, Shomrim, synagogue security teams. CHANA do you volunteer for any of them? Give back to your community? Do you take time from your personal and family life to help others? Do you put YOUR life on the line to help others? …….signed: Proud 30+ year volunteer in our community.

  4. Chana:
Probably best to discuss your grievances directly with the team or the synagogues administration. Public forum such as this likely not helpful for yourself or the amazing volunteers that our community so desperately needs and from which we all benefit. Hopefully, you find some inner peace, tact, and wisdom.

  5. Why aren’t people discussing a possible counter protest to the anti-Israel protest outside of YI Woodmere tomorrow at 6 pm?

  6. Chana. Email me and we can discuss your concerns about the yiw team. Let me assure you that we are properly trained as well as fully state licensed. The team is not just a bunch of wannabe’s. [email protected]

  7. I appreciate the work that the security people do at YIW but it’s pretty clear chilul shabbos some of the stuff and radio transmissions that go on. Also the flashlights they carry – no way that is pelican nefesh.
